Rihanna Launches Global Scholarship Program

By  |

Say what you want about Rihanna ‘I Like My Breast Out’ Fenty but she is using her coins to make a difference. Rihanna recently launched  Clara Lionel Foundation a non-profit which mission is to  improve the quality of life for communities globally in the areas of health, education, arts & culture.

“I don’t think it’s fair that children carry the burden of financial limitations at such a young age,” Rihanna

The program has been up and running since 2012 and has since expanded with the help of Rih. Scholarships range from $5,000 to $50,000. These scholarships will help students in Barbados, Brazil, Cuba, Haiti, Guyana, Jamaica and even the United States. Although you have to meet certain criteria to receive the scholarship it is helpful.

Watch Rihanna and other students discuss the scholarship and what education means to them.

I’m proud of Rihanna! You can’t judge a book by it’s breast I mean cover. Rih might be ratchet sometimes but her heart is always in the right place.
